Jim began his career in the New York office of Arthur Andersen on the attest side of the practice. While at Andersen, he assisted Fortune 100 companies and private equity firms with financial due diligence on potential acquisition candidates.
In 1993, Jim joined Heritage predecessor BSB Associates, where he works with small- to mid-sized privately owned businesses across various industries, including food manufacturing and distribution, specialty trade contracting, and real estate. Jim focuses on operational accountability, financial statement analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and business transitions.
In addition to serving clients, Jim is a member of the firm's executive committee.
He is also a member of both the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
